The Abortion and Contraception Clinic of Nebraska is a member of the Abortion Conversation
Project and the National Abortion Federation. Our physician, Dr. LeRoy H. Carhart,
Jr. has been providing abortion care, as well as general surgery and family care,
since 1974. Our staff is exceptionally well trained and all members attend continuing
education courses regularly. The clinic, the laboratory, the pharmacy and our physician
are licensed by the State of Nebraska.

At ACCON, each patient is given an individual appointment, receives individualized care and has a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year support person who is as near as her telephone. ACCON is the only clinic in a 300 x 500 mile area offering a full choice of options to women seeking abortion and family planning care. Here you can obtain a MEDICAL or SURGICAL abortion under either local or intravenous, conscious sedation (twilight sleep.) Even if your gestation is not what you expect, you need not fear being told you will have to seek services elsewhere, as ACCON provides services through ALL LEGAL GESTATIONS. The clinic also provides annual physical exams, emergency contraception (the morning after pill), contraception including vasectomy, IUD placement, paternity testing and treatment of sexually acquired diseases.

The ABORTION & CONTRACEPTION CLINIC OF NEBRASKA, or ACCON, as it is locally known,
was founded 
May 1, 1992 by LeRoy and Mary Lou Carhart of the Bellevue Health and
Emergency Clinic, Inc., to provide a complete source of reproductive health care,
to include first and second trimester abortions.
Our mission is to provide pregnancy terminations, contraception and routine medical care to the women and men of the Midwest in a compassionate, comfortable and personal environment, recognizing the needs of each client, as an individual, while attempting to keep costs as affordable as possible. With the assassination of Dr. George R. Tiller on May 31, 2009, ACCON and Dr. Carhart took on the responsibility to provide all abortions, as protected, by the "Roe v. Wade" and "Doe v. Bolton” decisions rendered by the Supreme Court of the United States on January 22, 1973.
